Sam is a highly experienced journalist and writer who rapidly turns facts and figures into engaging and persuasive stories for corporates and charities in a wide range of sectors.
During his time working in the media Sam covered stories on everything from FMCGs and utilities to taxation and politics. He was latterly news editor of PRWeek, gaining a privileged insight into modern communications, which he then applied to an in-house role in the NHS before going freelance.
He has reported from Labour, Conservative and UKIP party conferences and interviewed high-profile figures including Parliamentarians, the film-maker Ken Loach, businessman Sir John Madejski and Richard Branson’s PR team. In 2017 he followed the spectacular collapse of PR agency Bell Pottinger, and in 2018 broke the news that Virgin Trains had effectively banned the Daily Mail from its services, prompting national debate.
